Real-time war game based on the American Civil War. You can play either side in the conflict. The game offers a tutorial, scenario and full battle. The battlefields are recreated in accurate detail and a random battlefield editor and random generator are included. Unit types and force-composition are historically based. The game's graphics and control system are effective.

Great Battles of Alexander

Turn-based war-game. It is a conversion of a board-based original. It recreates 10 of Alexander's battles, from Chaeronea (338 BC) to Hydaspes (326 BC). These can be played as a campaign (always playing the Macedonians) or individually (controlling either side). Significantly, armies are automatically placed at the beginning of each scenario, based the starting position of the historical battles. There is also a two-player mode, for games via modem/serial connection or LAN.

Great Battles of Caesar

Turn-based war game set in ancient Rome. The game recreates nine historical battles (at Vercellae, Chaeronea, Bibracte, Sabis, Dyrrachium, Pharsalus, Ruspina, Thapus and Munda). These can be played as a campaign (always playing the Romans) or individually (controlling either side). There is also a two-player mode, for games via modem/serial connection or LAN. Significantly, armies are no longer automatically placed at the beginning of each scenario, instead you can place them yourself. You organize your troops primarily at legion level.

Great Battles of Hannibal

Turn-based war-game. This is a conversion of a board-based original. It recreates 10 of Hannibal battles, from the massacre of Roman forces at Lake Trasimene to his defeat at Zama. These can be played as a campaign (always playing the Carthaginians) or individually (controlling either side). Significantly, armies are automatically placed at the beginning of each scenario, based the starting position of the historical battles. There is also a two-player mode, for games via modem/serial connection or LAN.
