Gangsters: Organized Crime
Strategy/management game now on budget re-release. The game combines turn-based management with real-time gameplay. Set in the 1920s in a US city called New Temperance, you take the role of a gangster as he tries to build up his criminal empire and a stash of cash. During the game your character will be involved in activities such as extortion, assassination, running bootleg liquor, gambling, bribery and corruption. The layout of the city is randomly generated and is alive with a bustling population of 5000 people. You plan your activities in a weekly planning phase and then your gangsters carry out your orders in real-time. A map and numerous overlays and statistical tables help you manage your criminal empire. You control your hoods via up to eight Lieutenants, to whom you can issue direct orders, and you also employ a lawyer and accountant. There is a set of tutorial levels to help you get the hang of this challenging game. The game's interface, 3D graphics and audio are effective. The game includes numerous touches of humor.

Ground Control
Innovative real-time strategy/war game with major action component, complete lack of resource-management and strong story. Set in the future, the game revolves around the conflict between two forces competing for domination of space as colonization of new planets becomes increasingly attractive, following a Third World War on Earth. The game consists of a series of thirty single-player missions, fifteen for each side in the conflict. There is also a strong multi-player mode. There are numerous high-tech unit types featured in the game. You control your units in teams. The aim of the game is to win the various well-designed battle scenarios with special attention being given to protecting your 'Armed People Carrier', which carries repair crews, fresh infantry and General.
