High Heat Baseball 2000

Baseball sim with management components. You develop your team and then take them out for the season. The game incorporates easy-to-use interfaces and offers a lot of detail for the baseball enthusiast. There is a new career mode that allows you to work your way up from the minor to the major leagues. The baseball gameplay is based on the successful arcade version. It is well balanced and easy to use. The graphics have been improved since the 1999 edition of the game. The balanced game engine results in realistic player and team stats. You can adjust players spread of skills and speed to suit your team's needs. Two players can compete in multi-player mode on-line or over LAN. The game as originally released had several bugs requiring a patch, these problems should be fixed in the Gold edition of the game.

High Heat Baseball 2001

Part of this series of acclaimed baseball games, this is the first High Heat game to enjoy the Sammy Sosa endorsement. The game combines well-balanced gameplay with effective controls and graphics. It features updated rosters. Game options include Exhibition, Full Season, Playoffs and Home Run Derby. Five difficulty settings add further replayability value. The multi-player mode allows two people to compete (LAN, Net or Same PC, two on same PlayStation). The game provides many pitching and batting options and the fielding aspect has been improved. The strong battling, pitching and fielding control systems of the previous games reappear. The statistical aspect of the game has been enhanced and a player editor is included. The game boasts good AI. Relatively minor improvements have been made to the graphics, particularly in the areas of character rendering and animation. AS in the previous games in the series games are accompanied by commentary provided by Giants' announcer, Ted Robinson

Installment in this popular series of baseball games featuring authentic teams, players and stadia. The game features improvements in all areas over the last game. Significantly, it is the first game in the series to have a PlayStation 2 version. Thirty stadia are reproduced in accurate detail. Game options include single matches, season and multi-player modes. On PC over LAN or Net or on the same console. The game boasts a good control system that gives you real control, particularly when batting. The graphics, AI and audio are impressive. Players are well-rendered, down to facial details and expression on PlayStation 2 and PC. A wide choice of views is available.

Baseball game that combines on-pitch action with light management components. It features authentic players, teams and stadia. The game offers a choice of Exhibition, Quick Play, Season, Playoffs, and Home Run Challenge. You can customize the length of season and four difficulty levels add further replayability value. You can choose to automate matches. There is also a two-player mode (same PC). The game control system and interface is effective. controlling batters, pitchers and fielders is effective. For instance, there are nine pitch types available in total. The game's graphics could have been better, they didn't look particularly advanced at time of release.

This successful golf game combines arcade-style playability with the depth of a golf simulation. The game features an extensive selection of cartoon-style characters, notable for their large heads. Each player has their own playing characteristics. Game options include Training, Stroke Play, Match Play, Tournament and Vs mode (against computer). There is also a good set of tutorials and a multi-player mode for up to 4 players (via multi-taps).

Acclaimed golf game that combines sim realism with arcade-style playability. The game offers a good selection of options including training, skins, stroke, match play, tournament and versus mode for up to four players. There are 13 characters and five sets of clubs incorporated into the game. It boasts realistic physics and weather modeling and good graphics. A choice of camera angles help you keep track of the action. There is also a choice of swing control system.
