Dave Mirra Freestyle BMX
BMX biking sim. It will features actual riders, most notably Freestyle champion Dave Mirra, who also helped with the game's development. In all, there are ten riders to choose from. There are 12 authentic courses included in the game and they cover vert, dirt and street-riding events. In the main single-player game you guide your rider through increasingly difficult challenges, performing ever more complex stunts. You unlock better bikes and new costumes as you progress. Alongside the single-player game, is a strong two-player mode with options including a best crash competition! In all, over 1000 moves are possible. The game employs an improved Thrasher engine and the graphics are generally good. The game features reasonable physics modeling and controls.

Deer Hunt Challenge
Hunting sim. The game combines flexibility and playability with good graphics and control systems. It employs a point system to grade the quality of the kills according to animal size and accuracy. There are two main game options; challenge (quick start scenarios) and hunting trip which is a connected series of hunts. A good selection of weapons and equipment are incorporated and you can even change the color of your clothes at any time to blend with your surroundings. Locations and times of year recreated are varied. Both settings and quarry are rendered in good detail.

There are three locations to choose from, each at a different time of year. These are Arkansas woods in Fall, alpine meadows in Colorado and winter in Indiana. There is also a target range. Using an overview map you select a hunting spot. A virtual trophy room allows you to keep a record of your kills. The game employs a system of static backgrounds animated deer. the game is now a few years old and the graphics were fairly basic at the time of release. A selection of ambient sound effects accompany play.

Deer Hunter 2: The Hunt Continues
Hunting sim and sequel to a highly successful original. The game offers many improvements over its predecessor. Most notably, this game employs 3D graphics rather than the static backgrounds of the original game. you can move freely around the environments looking for signs of deer presence and tracking down any wounded animals. There are nine weapons to choose from, six more than the original. These include a longbow, bolt-action rifle and semi-automatic shotgun. There are 13 types of other equipment, such as scent lures, calls, binoculars and a GPS handset. You select from 12 locations including Michigan, Washington, Georgia and Pennsylvania covering various seasons. You select can select time of day for your hunt. A virtual trophy room allows you to keep a record of your kills. It is now possible to create multiple hunting identities.

Third in this series of popular hunting sims. The game is a realistic recreation of the hunting experience and the 3D graphics are effective. You can choose from full season or quick hunt and there is a multi-player mode (via LAN or Net). In full season mode you must obey the laws governing what you can hunt and when or face losing your hunting license. The game offers a choice of two locations, Utah and Missouri, and different times of year. The terrain is accurately reproduced using the US Geographical Survey data. there is also a target range to help you perfect your skills. You can select from 15 weapons including guns and bows as well as other equipment such as binoculars and scent lures and calls. You can move freely about the environments and should be on the look out for signs of deer activity to be looking out for. The control system is effective.

Installment in this successful series of hunting sims. You begin by creating a character and selecting your equipment. There is a target range to help you master your weapons and adjust their sights. Weapons include rifles, a magnum and bows and arrows. Other equipment includes scent lures and calls. You then head off to the hunt. The aim is to get the best haul of deer over a season , or you can opt for a quick hunt. It is also possible to compete against other players over LAN or on-line. You can view your kills in the virtual trophy room. The game recreates six hunting locations in the US and Canada. The graphics and control system are effective.
