Shoot 'em up currently in development. Set in the future, you'll take the role of Lieutenant Vaughn as he embarks on a mission to save humankind from an alien invasion. The aliens are turning humans that they encounter into drones who will also put up resistance. Vaughn will have a variety of high-powered weapons at his disposal. The games story will be developed through high-quality cutscenes. The games 3D graphics promise to be advanced.

Cannon Spike

Action game. The premise is that a group of armed robots have gone on the rampage. You play a member of a task force who must destroy the robots through eight missions. You view the action from an overhead perspective. There are five payable characters, familiar from other Capcom games. They are Charlie and Cammy (from Street Fighter), Mega Man, B. B. Hood (from Darkstalkers) and Arthur (from Ghosts 'n' Goblins). Each has distinctive characteristics and four attack options. Alongside the main, single-player game, is a two-player competitive mode. The game's graphics are good (particularly on the Dreamcast), with some spectacular explosive effects.

Non-violent first-person shoot 'em up with a Christian theme. It is set during the Roman persecution. You take the role of a Christian hero equipped with a variety of spirit-powered 'weapons' these can be used to destroy demons or to convert non-believers. The game's graphics are reasonable.

Centipede 3D

Update of this classic arcade blaster. Arcade mode offers a version of the original 2D game. The adventure mode consists of a fully 3D game featuring many different types of insect foe. There is also a multi-player mode (for two players on a split screen or via LAN and Net).

Chase Ace 2

Arcade-style blaster. You select from one of a selection of ships and set game perimeters before engaging in shooting action in one of some 25 arenas. You can adjust game speed, the number of powerups, how quickly enemies are generated and overall difficulty. Around 30 different power-up types are incorporated including weapon, shield and speed powerups. Game options are arena game or a course game. The former is a stand-alone level whilst course games consist of a series of linked levels. There is also a multi-player mode that supports up to three people. The game is played from an overhead perspective. The 2D graphics and controls are reasonable.

This older game has been re-released at an ultra-budget price. It is a first-person shooter in the Quake-style. The game is divided into 16 levels, each of which is introduced with a briefing. The game was innovative at the time for including a targeting system. The graphics are pre-3D.

First-person action game with a military theme, which was released at a low price. The game consists of a series of missions with varied objectives set in locations around the world. The game employs the ageing Quake engine and the graphics are considerably worse than contemporary titles.

3D action-strategy game. The premise is that alien parasites are attacking US troops and military installations, taking over the soldiers' bodies. You must command a small force through missions in order to prevent the parasites from destroying humanity. The game consists of a series of increasingly challenging missions. The missions are well-designed and the game boasts good enemy AI. You view the game from a first-person perspective and can issue orders to your computer-controlled teammates. A selection of weaponry and other equipment is available, including a good sniper rifle and night vision goggles. The game's graphics are reasonable and the controls are effective.

Confidential Mission

Arcade-style action game designed for use with a lightgun. The game offer two modes; practice and the main game, which can be played by one or two players. The practice mode help you to perfect the various shot types (such as combo shots, judgment shots and reflex shots) and a bonus scenario is unlocked when successful. The main game requires all of these skills. You choose from one of two agents, one male and one female, named Howard and Jean. They must defeat 'Agares', a terrorist group. The rail-based action takes you through a variety of settings, including a museum and a train. You must choose which targets to take out first and the targeting rings display how close each enemy is to firing on you. The action is fast and furious. The game's graphics are effective.
