Magic: The Gathering
RPG with strategy game component based on the MTG card-based system. The basis of the game is the collection of cards that represent land (control of mana), artifacts, spells and creatures. Some 350 of the thousands of cards in the series are included in this game. The game is fairly complex and a good tutorial is incorporated. There are two main game modes; campaign and duel. In duel mode you take control of a selection of 60 cards for duels against the computer. In campaign mode your character embarks on a quest to save the magical realm of Shandalar. This mode combines traditional computer RPG elements with the card game rules. The overhead map switches to dueling table when an enemy is encountered. There is also an Encyclopedia function that gives players access to the full rules and information on all the featured cars. Three difficulty levels, add considerable replayability value to the game. The game's boasts effective graphics, with the cards rendered in fine detail.

MediEvil 2
3D platform game with action elements and sequel to a successful original. Once again the game has a fantasy medieval setting and you play a skeleton knight named Sir Daniel Fortesque. The game offers well-designed 17 levels, each of which is much larger than those in the original game. Daniel has a range of weapons and other pieces of equipment that he accumulates as the game progresses. The inventory system has been improved. A notable new feature is the ability to switch between characters (actually different forms of Daniel himself), each with their own special skills. He'll also meet a couple of characters who will accompany him during the game. The gameplay consists of exploration, item collecting, combat and puzzle-solving. Another new addition are sets of mission objectives that you'll encounter in-game. The game's 3D graphics are effective and the game is suitably atmospheric.

Morpheus
Adventure game with major puzzle component. The game combines good design and graphics with a strong plot, a varied cast of characters and challenging puzzles. The game is set in mid-20th Century and you play a character named Matthew Holmes who finds himself on a ghost ship called Herculania, located near the North Pole. The plot revolves around a mysterious and powerful machine that has strange powers over the human mind. The game sustains atmosphere and psychological tension well. The gameplay involves exploring the rooms in the ship, learning about the ghostly passengers and solving puzzles. Puzzles mostly revolve around the use of items or the piecing together of verbal clues. The game employs a simple point-and-click control system. Dark and violent themes are touched on, making this game unsuitable for the younger gamer. Subtle background music accompanies play.
