You play the titular dolphin in this relaxed-paced RPG/adventure game. It combines strong story with impressive graphics and design. The game is set in a future where man and dolphins can communicate and humans have colonized distant planets and dolphins are guardians of the Earth. Ecco must defeat a threat to this peace and this involves traveling to different points in time. The game consists of 30 levels. The gameplay involves exploration, collecting pieces of the powerful 'Guardian Crystal', interacting with other creatures of the sea, facing enemies and puzzle-solving. Ecco communicates with other creatures using song and he'll learn new songs as the game progresses. He also learns new skills and gains new powers.

RPG. The game begins with the discovery of the EGG, a powered suit, occupied by the 'Sleeper'. The gameplay involves exploration, combat and puzzle-solving. Many levels are set in dungeon complexes. The game employs 2D in-game graphics and these could be better, although backgrounds are lavishly rendered and good cutscenes intersperse the action. There is no multi-player mode.

RPG set in a world called Eithea. This magical world is protected by a 'Tree of Life' and its stability is threatened when a storm heralds the arrival of evil creatures. You guide a young man named Shou and his party of friends as they embark on a mission to save their island. The game employs an unusual combat system which involves the relative positioning of the characters. Also, each character has a source of power named Latent Ability Voltage. The rest of the gameplay is fairly traditional. The game employs cute cartoon-style graphics. The control system is effective. It is unlikely that the game will be released outside Japan.

Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind
RPG currently in development. The game will allow the player a lot of flexibility. There will be no rigid structure to the game, rather you will have the opportunity to embark on open-ended quests that will allow you to follow a main story or select from numerous side-quests. Character creation will be similarly flexible, with many sub-classes to choose. Like the previous games in the series, this installment is set in the magical, fantasy gameworld of Tamriel, of which Morrowind is a province. It is the homeland of a the race of 'Dark Elves'. The Dark Elves are split into three conflicting Great Houses. You will be able to ally your character with one of the factions or go through the game as an independent. The game's 3D accelerated graphics promise to be a significant improvement over the last game in the series.

Acclaimed RPG, now considered a retro classic. It is set in a well-realized, medieval-inspired magical world named Tamriel. It is populated by a variety of races, including dwarves and elves. The game offers a great deal of freedom and an effective character creation/development system. You choose a race and can adjust various areas of appearance. There are three basic character classes; thief, warrior, and mage, which all have six sub-classes. Each class has its own strengths and weaknesses. A good feature of the magic system is that mages can make up their own spells by combining components.
