Gunship!

Helicopter combat flight sim. This is the third in a series of games of this name to have appeared on earlier platforms. It feature three flyable choppers, including the Russian Hokum and ultra-modern Eurocopter. The game combines arcade and sim elements. You can adjust many areas of the game such as damage settings. The single-player game offers a choice of single missions and a full campaign. There is also a multi-player mode and battle scenario editor. You'll be accompanied on missions by wingmen to whom you can issue limited instructions. You also have a co-pilot to whom you can issue more detailed orders. A choice of views, maps and navigational aids are on hand to help you keep track of the action. The game's control system is complex and not very intuitive and as released the game has a significant number of bugs which will almost certainly be rectified by a series of patches. The game boasts excellent graphics. A notable feature is that it is designed to be compatible with the upcoming release, Tank Platoon!.
