There are ten distinctive characters two of which have to be unlocked. Each has their own special moves and equipment. The game is pretty gory with blood effects and it is possible to sever opponents limbs off without killing them! There are loads of moves to master and making the most of your shield is important (a meter monitors its strength). The game's graphics, controls and camera system are effective.
