Arcade-style racing game featuring tanks competing in a fictional World Tank Racing Championship. A good selection of weapons are incorporated, including guns and missiles, and it is possible to control your tank's turret separately. There are some 12 drivable tanks, each with their own handling characteristics. Races take place in a variety of real-life settings, such as city streets. The speed of racing is, as expected, not that fast and the handling can be tricky but a notable bonus is that you can crush obstacles. The multi-player mode allow up to six players via modem or serial connection, LAN or Net. The game's 3D graphics are effective.

Part of this successful series of arcade-style racing games. The game offers a selection of authentic vehicles, with some 40 in all, many of which have to be unlocked. These include modern and classic cars divided into two classes; sports and muscle. Featured manufacturers include Ford, Dodge, Aston Martin and Jaguar. There are 18 well-designed street courses set in locations around the world (further variations may be unlocked). You must beware of the cops who may be waiting to give you a speeding ticket. The game offers over many types of driving challenge alongside Single Race, Time Trials, Cup Race, Drag Race, and Cop Chase. There is a multi-player mode for two on a or up to six on-line or over LAN. The graphics are reasonable although they have been surpassed by more recent titles.

The game will offer a combination of arcade-style racing with sim elements, such as the different handling characteristics of the bikes. Models include the Hummer, the Land Rover Defender 90, the Jeep Wrangler, and the Chevrolet K-1500 Z71 and there are six bonus vehicles such as the Monster Truck, Dune Buggy, Stock Car, Hot Rod and off-road Beetle. The game incorporates 12 tracks with varied terrain covering desert, snow and forest. On PC, the multi-player mode enables four to play over LAN or via modem connection. Two players can compete with two linked PlayStations.

A good selection high-energy tunes accompany play.

In the main quest mode you challenge opponents to races by flashing headlights and receive challenges in the same way. An innovative feature of the game that there are no set courses. In place of a finish line there is an energy meter that is depleted when a car falls behind. All the races take place at night. The highway is alive with other traffic and this effects the way that races develop. Victory earns cash that can be spent on vehicle upgrades and new cars.
