Futuristic racing game available for PC, N64 and PlayStation. The name stands for 'Super Control Animal Racing Simulation', a reference to the fact that each of the vehicles resembles an animal. It offers high-paced racing action combined with the use of weapons. There is a selection of game options including four classes of championship, time attack and versus races. Among the animals represented by the vehicles are the shark, lion and cobra. Each vehicle has its own handling characteristics. A good selection of weapons and powerups are incorporated including missiles, magnets and turbo-boosts. There are nine well-designed tracks and these cover a broad range of settings. Tracks can also be mirrored adding further replayabilty value to he game. Weather conditions vary.

San Francisco Rush: Extreme Racing
Version of this popular racing game that first appeared in the arcades. The game options include single races or circuit (championship), as well as a two-player mode. There is a selection of vehicles to choose from, ranging from beginner level through expert to extreme. There are lots of extra cars that can be unlocked. There are six well-designed tracks set on the streets of San Francisco. The tracks can also be raced in reverse. They include short cuts and varied times of day and weather conditions are recreated. The game employs unreal physics modeling and vehicle handling for high-speed action. On N64 graphics and customizable controls are good. The PlayStation version is less successful.

A couple of additional cars and another track must be unlocked. There are two main game modes; PC and Arcade. Each has a selection of championships and in PC mode there is a time attack mode. Two-players can race head-to-head on the same PC or via LAN or Net. In PC mode there is a good degree of vehicle customizability available. The game's graphics, which require a 3D patch, are adequate although the game is surpassed by other and more recent games.

The AI is also good, making for an exciting racing experience. Play is accompanied by a limited commentary and there is also taunting between the characters. A beat-driven soundtrack, featuring well-known artists also accompanies play.

The challenges are varied, including races and reuniting a lost baby penguin with its mother! Mario is not limited to traveling on foot, he can also swim and fly.
