F1 2000

Formula One simulation featuring all the teams, drivers and tracks of the 2000 season. The game combines advanced graphics with realistic gameplay. It recreates practice and qualifying sessions, as well as full races. There is also a quick start option for instant action. The full championship covers 17 courses in locations around the world, including the new US track at Indianapolis. Both tracks and cars are rendered in accurate detail. A notable feature of the game is the high-quality AI that makes computer-controlled opponents suitably challenging. There is also strong multi-player mode (split screen on PlayStation, or for up to eight players on PC, via LAN or on-line). Races are introduced by UK TV's Jim Rosenthal.

This installment in the series of Formula 1 racing sims is currently in development. It will feature a full selection of authentic teams, drivers, cars and tracks. Third installment in this highly successful series of F1 sims. The game includes all the teams, drivers and tracks on the 1998 circuit. There are several game options available, including the full championship season and quick-start races. F1 management sim featuring all the teams, drivers and stats from the 1999 World Championship. You select a team to manage and victory criteria will depend on this choice. The game combines a well-designed interface with lots of in-depth information, including driver pictures and profiles. You control areas such as sponsor negotiation, personnel, aspects of the design and manufacture of parts, team orders, car setup and pit-stop strategy. There are a choice of views from which to watch races.

Challenge mode recreates great races of the past. In career mode you take the role of a novice driver who must work his way up through the ranks, joining better teams as you progress. There are extensive car customization options. The game game's graphics, physics and controls could be better.

F355 Challenge: Passione Rossa

Racing sim that was first released in the arcades. The game combines accurate physics and handling with impressive graphics. It features a single vehicle, the Ferrari 355, although each car has it's own slightly different performance characteristics. There are three game modes; practice, drive and racing. In order to succeed in race mode you must thoroughly learn the tracks. Statistics at the end of each race help you asses and improve your performances. There are eleven tracks set in locations around the world. It is also possible to race a friend in the split-screen mode.

The cars will take damage more realistically and tire wear will be reproduced. The game's graphics, controls and physics promise to be good.

Freaky Flyers

Arcade air racing game currently in development. It will combine exciting action with courses with a lot of freedom. The game will feature cartoon-inspired characters and design. As well as racing, your craft will be equipped with weapons and there will be other tasks to complete, such as rescues. There will be ten playable characters and some forty NPCs. Course settings will include an exotic island and Chicago of the 1920s. The game's 3D graphics promise to be impressive.

Motocross sim featuring champions Travis Pastrana and Jeremy McGrath. It is part of the successful series of Jeremy McGrath Motocross games. The control system, bike handling and graphics could be better.

This flying/racing game is an overhauled version of another game called 'Hresvelgr'. It is a futuristic racing game featuring flying craft. It promises to combine high-speed action with advanced graphic and good design. A selection of weapons will be available to spice-up the racing action. A good feature of the game promises to be the course-design, players will be free to diverge from the main course path and take any short-cuts available, making for some spectacular flying feats. The main single-player game will be Grand Prix mode which will see you joining one of eight teams and competing against 15 other pilots.

High-speed, arcade racing game. Set in the future you race jet-powered vehicles along rollercoaster-style tracks. The nature of the tracks, which involve many narrow or upside-down sections, means that you must keep your wits about you if you're to stay on the track.
