Typing of the Dead
Mod for House of the Dead 2. Instead of aiming and shooting guns, players perform actions by typing words that appear on the screen. Thus, easy monsters will require only short words whilst tougher opponents will require you to type whole sentences. Unsurprisingly, Dreamcast owners require a keyboard to play. The commands increase with complexity and mistakes and slowness are punished. Some multiple choice questions also feature. The game is divided into Tutorials, Drills, Boss Challenges and the versus-CPU modes. There is also a two-player mode (DC, same machine, PC, over LAN). Adult humor is reflected in some of the phrases! Extra features of the mod include an alternative ending and a 'big head' mode.
