Lander

Space flight game released on DVD. It is essentially an updated and extended version of the old-school classic Lunar Lander. However, rather than simple landings, you'll also have to guide your craft through enclosed complexes employing the same careful control of your ships thrusters. Your ship is also equipped with weapons. The gameplay revolves around guiding your craft safely and completing specific objectives. The game has a non-linear structure with over 30 missions to work through. You are paid for successful missions and use the money earned to pay for fuel and repairs, as well as to upgrade your craft. A variety of planets, with their own gravitational force, and conditions feature. There is also a multi-player mode for deathmatches. The game's graphics are good and the control system is generally adequate. The plot is developed through cutscenes. A selection of atmospheric sound effects and music accompanies play.

2D fighting game. The game is set in Japan of the 19th century. You choose from 16 samurai fighters equipped with swords. The fighting system is effective, characters have three attacks and can block. Significantly, you also choose before each fight from three designations; power, speed or EX (defense). This choice effects the special moves that a character can perform. The game's contrl system is effective. The graphics could be better.

3D fighting game. The game's premise is that order has broken down in Tokyo and gangs rule the city. In order to settle their disputes, champions have been selected to fight it out in a tournament called the Last Bronx. You can choose from full tournament or single bout. Notably it is possible to select a team of characters. You can play against the computer or a friend. There are eight playable characters each with their own style, special moves and weapons. A large selection of moves are incorporated and the control and camera systems works well. The game employs Japanese animation-style design and the graphics are effective.

Third installment in this series of successful third-person action adventure games. The game promises to combine improved graphics with a strong story that ties together with the plots of the first two games. You'll once again take the role of the Soul Reaver, Raziel. This time he'll travel through time to three pivotal moments on a quest to destroy Kain. More depth to the gameplay is planned and many new powers for Raziel will be available. Players will start the game with all the abilities, items and spells available for collection in the previous game, and Raziel will be able to collect seven new swords, each based on an element (Earth, Air, Wind, Water, Fire, Darkness, and Light). The swords will have their own special uses and this will impact on the types of puzzles in the game. A more diverse selection of enemy types will feature.

Kart racing game featuring the Looney Toons characters, including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Wile E Cyote. There are three settings based on cartoons including Road Runner and Marvin the Martian. Weapons can be earned by collecting variously colored coins scattered around the tracks. The game's graphics are effective, although it is the addictive gameplay that this game excels. The controls are simple.
