The story will pick up in 2166 as Flint faces a new threat - ancient and powerful sea creatures that have been freed by underwater quakes caused by a disastrous research project. The game will consist of a series of combat missions interspersed with mission briefings and cutscenes. You'll be able to choose which missions to take on and will have a choice of responses when conversing with NPCs. Cash is earned for successful missions and trade and this can then be spent on submarine upgrades.

Atomic Bomberman
Part of this successful series of action games that have been released on multiple platforms. This particular game is available for the PC only. The gameplay consists of laying bombs within maze-like arenas in order to trap opponents. There is also an extensive range of special power-ups scattered around the levels. The game is particularly suited to multi-player gaming, with up to ten people competing via multiple controllers, modem/serial connection or LAN. The game's graphics are simple but effective, and it is the gameplay and not the graphics that are its major strength. There are numerous game variants that add further replayability value. The game employs a good interface and easy-to-use control system.

Driving action game. You embark on a series of missions set within an overall narrative. Your character is out to avenge the death of his family, killed by a cult. You vehicle is an armed car with lots of flashy technology. Weapons and other powerups are scattered around the levels. the game's graphics and controls are effective. There is no multi-player mode.

Akuji The Heartless
3D platform game. It is far less cutesy than most platform games - it is set mainly in hell. You play Akuji a dead swordsman who also practices voodoo magic. The title refers to the fact that he was attacked by his brother who removed his heart. Akuji embarks on a journey through various part of hell in order to collect the souls of his ancestors in order to get revenge on his brother. The game's levels are well-designed. The gameplay is typical platform fodder, involving the exploration of levels, collection of items, dealing with enemies and precision jumping. The game employs a modified Gex: Enter the Gecko engine. The graphics and controls are generally good.

Strategy/action game featuring giant mech fighters. This is actually the fourth game in the series but it is a sequel proper unlike the other games (Project Phantasma and Master of Arena). The first three games were released for PlayStation, whilst this game is the first to be available for PlayStation 2.

Armored Core: Master of Arena
Action/strategy game. This is the second of two follow-ups to the original game (the first is AC: Project Phantasma). It offers ten new levels and around 20 missions. As a mercenary you can choose which missions to take on and spend your earnings on new robots and upgrades. There are new mech customization options, with over 30 new components available. Among the new game options are Ex Arena mode, which offers battles featuring only one class of mech, and Ranker Mk mode which allows you more detailed control over your units. The graphics have been improved since the earlier games.

Action/strategy game. This is first of two follow-ups to the original game (the second is AC: Master of Arena). It offers a new set of missions, new mech parts and better graphics. Once again, you are a mercenary and control of large robotic war-machines.. You choose from a variety of battle scenarios in order to earn credits that can be spent on new mechs and upgrades. A large selection of high-powered weaponry is incorporated into the game and extensive mech customizability are available. The game offers a two-player mode.
