Magic and conventional weapons feature. The game employs good design and detailed graphics. The control system is effective. There is no multi-player mode.

Tenchu 2: Birth of the Stealth Assassins
Action adventure game set in medieval Japan. The game focuses on martial arts-style fighting and stealth. The gameplay is more action-oriented than the original. The game features two playable characters (Rikimaru and Ayame). Each character has an extensive range of moves at their disposal and over 20 weapons are incorporated. Other equipment includes smoke bombs and disguises. The game consists of a over 10 well-designed levels, plus a training level for each character. A third unlockable character, with seven missions is also available. Notably, there is also an excellent level editor. The graphics and AI have been improved over the original.

You play a character named Jack Riley who is executed and then finds himself in a strange reality populated by malevolent entities. Enemies are varied and they will require diverse strategies. The game employs pre-rendered backgrounds with 3D characters and high-quality that cutscenes help to develop the plot. The gameplay consists of exploration, combat, item collection and use with some puzzle-solving. Combat is mostly hand-to-hand and you have a selection of kicks, punches, other attacks and blocks at your disposal. Weapons can also be picked up and used and these include a sword and an ax. The control system and interface are generally good.
