US, California-headquartered developer and publisher, formed 1994 (although only known as TLC from 1996) then based in Cambridge MA. Acquired by Hasbro, Inc. May 1999, and mainly know for some time as part of Mattel Interactive. Sold to Gore Technology Group October 2000. September 2001 sold its education division to Riverdeep Interactive Learning and reverted to original name of Broderbund. The company history is highly complex!
