Traditional Game from Interplay, by Indigo Moon
Chess simulation with United States Chess Federation license. Play against the computer or a human opponent (same PC or via serial/modem connection, LAN or on-line). The game offers an extensive range of options and you can set match perimeters such difficulty level and move/game times. A notable feature is the ability to play against virtual grand masters, including Karpov and Kasparov. The game incorporates good tutorial and help options, for instance you can get the computer to show you how to get out of a tricky situation and it is possible to take back moves or see the moves the computer is considering during the game. There is a choice of chess sets and views available and the controls are straightforward.
