Traditional Game from Mindscape
Part of this long-running and successful series of chess games. The game combines a high degree of customizability, strong AI and good tutorial functions. There is a 26-part tutorial and a set of challenges based on critical points in actual historical games. The in-game help function provides a move recommendation with justification at any time. The game also rates your game. You can choose one of a selection of AI opponents with different skill levels or play against another player (same machine or over LAN or Net). The game employs effective graphics and an easy-to-use interface.
