Acclaimed chess sim released exclusively for the PlayStation. The game offers a high degree of customizability; you select an opponent, background, board and set and can define turn-times and other match parameters. An extensive choice of AI opponents are available including simulations of 31 real-life Grandmasters, such as Spassky, Fischer, Karpov and Kasparov. Alternatively, you can play against a friend on the same machine. A good tutorial function is incorporated to help you develop your game. A help option is also present so that in the middle of a game you can get advice on how to proceed. The game's graphics, interface and control system are effective. During matches you use mouse to control a cursor and when this is over a piece all possible moves are highlighted. There is also a multi-player mode for games over LAN or online.
