Strategy and Wargaming Game from Hasbro Interactive, Inc., by Team 17
Turn-based strategy game and third in this successful series. Up to four teams of up to six (or even eight) worms do battle on stylized 2D landscapes. There are turn time-limits, the length of which can be adjusted. Teams can be human- or computer-controlled. On PC, it is possible to play on-line.
Worms Armageddon incorporates new game modes, items and weapons. Among the game modes are three difficulty levels, as well as various other options such as shopping mode (where more weapons crates fall from the sky).
An important feature of the game are the 36 single-player missions. The missions are well-designed to test a variety of skills. Objectives vary and often it is necessary to achieve a specific goal rather than just killing all worms in sight. There is also a good training mode.
