Strategy and Wargaming Game from Infogrames, by Innonics
RTS game with a concentration of vehicle-based conflict. Set in a futuristic universe, the premise of the game is that you are on side of a rebel force (the Alliance of Avares) fighting against an oppressive inter-galactic government. The game revolves around the production and use of three resources, two of which are required for buildings, and the third of which is power. Land, air and water-based vehicles are all incorporated. The game has a good technology tree, and managing effective R&D is an important part of the gameplay. An innovative feature of the game is that you are also responsible for conducting diplomatic relations with other members of the Alliance. The game is played on a 3D isometric landscape and the design and graphics are good. The game's interface is also effective.
