Management sim set on a space station in a futuristic universe. You play an entrepreneur who takes on the Startopia space station with the aim of building up a thriving business amidst a universe of disorder and conflict. The single-player mode consists of a series of scenarios. There is also a multi-player mode for up to four players. You begin each with a limited amount of space on the station and some starting goods. The game features stylish design and a cast of colorful races. Many humorous touches are incorporated.
The gameplay primarily involves resource management. This aspect of the game has a great deal of depth and complexity. A wide range of trade opportunities are available and you can use the space on the station for a wide variety of business type. Advice is on hand in the form of your computer and a friendly dealer named Arona. The game's 3D environments and interface are effective.
