Strategy and Wargaming Game from Interplay, by Shiny Entertainment
Third-person, real-time action strategy game. The game combines excellent, fully 3D graphics with innovative, high-quality gameplay and a strong story. The game is set in a fantasy universe and magic plays an crucial part in the game. You being by deciding the appearance of your character, a wizard. The premise is that the wizard must undergo a series of trials set by the gods. Once you select a mission you enter a 3D landscape that can also be viewed on an overhead map.
The gameplay involves harvesting two resources; souls and mana. Mana allows you build structures including alters, shrines and 'manaliths' to appease the god and earn magical powers. Souls enable you to raise fighting units from archers and dragons. Most of the mission are combat-oriented. Alongside the single-player game, is a strong multi-player mode for up to four players over LAN and on-line.
