Strategy and Wargaming Game from Strategy First, by Flying Lab Software
RTS that delivers engaging gameplay that is simpler than most similar games. You take control of a burgeoning railway company in the US from 1830 to 2015. You build up a network to transport passengers and freight and compete against seven rival companies. Lots of railway components and trains are available, with over a thousand locomotive types in all.
The single-player game consists of some twenty challenging scenarios or the option for an open-ended game. As you progress, new technologies and business opportunities become available, for instance you get the chance to take over rival companies. Success is based not only on making money but also on the prestige of your company. There is a strong multi-player mode (for up to eight players over LAN or online). The game's graphics and interface are effective.
