Strategy and Wargaming Game from Nintendo
Strategy game with puzzle component. It is the brainchild of top game creator Shigeru Miyamoto. The premise is that an astronaut has crash-landed on an alien planet and must reassemble his ship by collecting the parts scattered over the planet's surface. He is aided by alien plants called Pikmin. They come in different varieties, denoted by color, with different capabilities. Pikmin can be bred and issued with instructions. The game employs a time-limit and predators threaten the safety of the Pikmin. The game features cute characters and detailed graphics. The gameplay is engrossing and the controls system is straightforward.
