Strategy and Wargaming Game from Shrapnel Games, by Ascaron Software
RTS currently in development. Set in fourteenth century Europe, players will start with a single city as their base, a ship and a little cash, with the aim of extending their influence. The gameplay will concentrate on trading and naval combat. You'll compete against computer-controlled opponents or up to seven other players (over LAN).
The game will consist of a series of missions with various victory criteria, such as being elected mayor of your town. Around twenty different commodity types will be included. As you progress you'll be able to buy new ships, equip them with weapons and recruit their crews. You'll also spend cash on civic building to impress the population. The game will be viewed from an overhead perspective and the graphics and interface promise to be good.
