Strategy and Wargaming Game from HPS Simulations
WW2, turn-based, operational-level war game. As the title indicates, the game focuses on a single battle at Smolensk in July 1941. The game is played on a hex-based map, each hex corresponds to 1km and a turn represents 2 hours. The game offers a campaign of 19 scenarios. There is also a scenario editor and a strong two-player mode (by hot-seating, play-by-email, LAN and Net). The size of the maps used in the scenarios varies considerably, as does the number of turns (up to 170 turns). The game employs a mouse-based control system. A choice of views is available. The most useful is a 2D, zoomable view.
