Updated version of an old game. It is a trading/political sim set in Venice of the 1500s. You take the role of a merchant whose aim it is to outperform his competitors by setting up and exploiting successful trade routes. It is also necessary to get involved in the political and cultural life of the city. By rising through the ranks of the political elite you can gain access to new trading opportunities. Alongside the single-player scenarios, is a multi-player mode for up to four players. The game's graphics are basic, few changes have been made to the original graphics and interface, making this release look dated.
