Strategy and Wargaming Game from Microsoft Games
RTS game featuring giant robotic fighters set in the BattleTech universe. This sequel incorporates general improvement and new additions. The graphics have been improved with 3D terrain having an impact of strategy and the use of weapons. The interface has also been substantially improved.
The premise is that a conflict has broken out between three groups vying for control of a region of space called the Chaos March. You play the leader of a group of mercenary Mechs. The single-player game consists of a non-linear campaign; you decide which missions to take on. There is also a strong multi-player mode (for up to eight players via LAN and Net) for deathmatches, team deathmatches and quick-start games (each player is randomly assigned a force and starting position). Notably, a mission editor is included.
Over 25 different types of Mech feature together with other new units types, including limited air support.
