Strategy and Wargaming Game from 3DO, by New World Computing
Turn-based strategy game with RPG component. Set in a fantasy universe, this installment will incorporate significant changes over its predecessors.
The gameplay will primarily involve creating and developing characters and engaging in combat. As before, two main types of unit will feature: creature and heroes. However, the two types will share more characteristics than previously. For instance, creatures will be able to learn and use magic spells. You'll also have more freedom in assembling your army, each of which consists of seven slots. These can be filled with creatures or heroes and in this way you'll be able to assemble balanced groups. A new alignment system will also feature, with six conflicting factions. There will be a much greater range of hero types available, totalling 48 in all. Played on an isometric landscape the game will feature detailed 3D models.
