Strategy and Wargaming Game from Red Storm Entertainment
Real-time strategy game set on an alien planet called Mur. You play a 'Mindlord', one of a group of telepathic beings who control the Murians. Conflict arises when a group of human colonists arrive and threaten the equilibrium. There is also conflict between native factions.
The single-player game consists of a series of scenarios with different victory conditions. Objectives range from simple combat and defensive situations to escort missions, material production goals and infiltration missions. There are also a multi-player mode for competitive or cooperative battles for up to four people (via LAN or on-line).
Play is conducted on an overhead-viewed 3D landscape that is fully rotatable and zoomable. Environment types include desert, grassland and swamp. The game has a good design concept with interesting unit types. Graphics are generally good. AI is adequate. A range of fitting sound effects accompany play.
