Strategy and Wargaming Game from Psygnosis, by Perfect Entertainment
Adventure game based on the fantasy comic novels of British author Terry Pratchett. Discworld is a magical world populated by a wide variety of species. The main character is a bungling wizard called Rincewind, who is voiced by ex-Monty Python star, Eric Idle. Most of the action is set in the stinking city of Ankh Morpork. Rincewind must defeat a dragon that is terrorizing the city. The gameplay involves exploring the environments, solving puzzles and gathering information and useful items.
The game employs a simple point-and-click interface. The cursor changes when hovering over an item or other hotspot. The cursor is also used to control movement from one environment to another. NPCs can be engaged in conversations and five basic conversation types are available (question, joke, sarcasm, anger and goodbye). As expected, the game now looks dated. The PlayStation version of the game employs a special version of the interface and simplified graphics.
