Strategy and Wargaming Game from Ubi Soft Entertainment, by MASA
Innovative 3D RTS. It was announced with the title Peacekeepers. Set in the near future, the premise is that a new organization, the International Corps for Peace (ICP) has been established to intervene in crises covering both military and humanitarian situations. The game consists of a series of missions that each focus on containing conflicts in hotspots around the world.
The innovative aspect of the gameplay is that it is not just the end result on the ground that measures success. Instead, the world media will cover the conflicts and the response that this coverage gets reflects on the popularity of the ICP and consequently the funding available. The gameplay involves establishing a base and manufacturing units and then engaging in combat. There is a multi-player mode for up to eight people (over LAN, only four online). The game's graphics and controls are effective.
