Third in this series of successful resource management/strategy games. You run a city in the Roman Empire. The game is divided into a series of missions based on particular targets relating to aspects of the city. The size of the area covered by the game has been increased since the last game and more varied types of terrain are now incorporated.
Your responsibilities cover many of the details of the city's life including monitoring the production of numerous types of goods, ensuring food supply and military strength. Culture also plays an important part in the life of your city - you must entertain and educate the population with facilities such as theaters and libraries. Religion is also important and there are several deities that need to be kept satisfied. The game is played on an isometric landscape with 3D terrain features, buildings and people.
