Strategy and Wargaming Game from Cryo Interactive Entertainment, by Vircom Inc.
RTS with RPG component. Set in a fantasy universe, the main game consists of 60 missions set within a narrative developed through cutscenes. You play a commander, Lord Wismerhill, who must choose to ally with one of four warring factions. There is also a mission editor.
The gameplay includes resource management, you must recruit troops, research technologies etc. At the heart of the gameplay are the battles, which range in scale. Unit types include infantry and archers. Magic and conventional weapons feature. During battle you control Wismerhill's forces, issuing them detailed orders at division level. The battlefield is mostly viewed from overhead and it is possible to zoom. The state of forces at the end of a battle is carried over. The Wismerhill character develops with experience, as in a RPG.
Alongside the single-player game is a multi-player mode (via LAN or Net). The game's graphics are good and its AI is adequate.
