Strategy and Wargaming Game from Talonsoft
Turn-based strategy game. The game recreates around 25 battle scenarios and you can choose in which order to attempt them. You can compete against the computer or another player via modem connection or hotseating. Unlike in the previous games, you can adjust the amount of control you have over your army. Another significant addition is an advantage slider, which enables you to adjust difficulty incrementally. There are four map views, including two impressive 3D views with units represented as miniatures, to enable you to keep track of the action. Maps are hexed based and zoomable.
You control the various units, each of which is graded in terms of movement points, quality and fatigue. Commanders and weapons are also graded. You can issue commands and set formations. Video clips intersperse the action. The game's graphics and point-and-click interface are effective. The AI has been improved since the last game.
