Star Trek Game from Simon & Schuster Interactive, by Imergy
This game allows you to customize your own Starfleet vessel. There are seven ship classes to choose from and once you have selected a ship you can customize many areas of its set-up, within a budget. You then select a crew. Profiles with photos of all the available recruits are incorporated.
After the design phase come the missions, which take place on a simplistic map screen. It displays your ship's progress, whilst you receive updates from your crew.
The game's graphics are adequate. In general, this game is likely to appeal only to dedicated Trekkers. Notably, it will be possible to import ships designed with this game into the upcoming space combat game, Star Trek Deep Space 9: Dominion Wars.
