Space combat game set in the Star Trek The Next Generation timeframe. You play the captain of the USS Dauntless through a series of combat-heavy missions. A choice of views is available including a first-person view, in which you can survey the bridge and issue orders directly to your crew. A range of outer views is also available. Significantly, Microsoft's GameVoice devices are supported.
The game employs effective, fully 3D graphics. It features the voices of Brent Spiner (Data) and Patrick Stewart (Picard). The missions of the campaign are tied together with a story concerning the destruction of your character's former ship and her crew. Enemy races include Klingons, Romulans and Cardasssians. There is also a Quick Battle mode in which you can take control of any of the ships featured in the game (in the campaign you control Federation ships only). There is also a multi-player mode for up to 8 players over LAN or Net. The game's interface is effective.
