Star Trek Game from Activision, Inc., by Mad Doc Software
Space blaster with RPG component. It incorporates significant improvements in graphics and gameplay over the original. The multi-player mode has been improved. Up to ten players can compete over LAN or online. There is also greater freedom of movement. Three new playable races feature, the Romulans, the Cardassians and Species 8472.
As in the first game, you create a character before embarking on a series of battle scenarios. New weapons and technology are incorporated including 45 new ships types and over twenty new weapons. You can choose from the single-player campaign or skirmish modes. There are three campaigns in which you play as the Federation, Borg or Klingons. The control interface has been refined and it is now possible to group ships and set formation.
