Acclaimed skateboarding game, also known as Tony Hawk's Skateboarding. It features numerous well-designed parks and street courses and ten real pro skaters (including Tony Hawk himself). Each rider has their own handling characteristics and special skills. There are loads of moves and combos to master, including spectacular jumps and spins. In order to avoid repetition, tricks net a smaller number of points the more times you do them.
The game covers both street and vert skating action. There are several game options. Freeskate mode allows you to explore the levels at leisure. Career mode takes you through the ten levels in order and you earn bonuses as you progress. You must explore, collect items and complete various challenges. There is also a two-player split screen option. The game's graphics are impressive, with both characters and environments rendered in good detail. Character animation is good and falls are effectively reproduced.
