Ice hockey game featuring the authentic teams and stadia of the NHL. It is also possible to create your own players. In all 27 arenas are reproduced in accurate detail. Game options include exhibition matches, full season and playoffs. In season mode you can opt to have matches automatically resolved. Up to four people can compete n the multi-player mode. The control system is effective, there are loads of moves to master, including shots, dodges and even fighting moves (it is also possible to turn these off). The game offers a good degree of customization. For instance you can select which rules to play by. The game boasts excellent graphics, employing over one thousand motion captured animations and reflections. Each player is rendered in detail and their faces are recognizable. The game incorporates commentary provided by Bob Cole (play-by-play) and Harry Neale (color commentary).
