Sport Game from Sierra Sports, by Headgate Studios
Golf sim. There are seven authentic courses featured, including Pasatiempo (Santa Cruz, California) Black Diamond Ranch (Lecanto, Florida) and the Prince Course(Kauai). A comprehensive course editor also features. The various game options include skins, match play, stableford, greensome and bloodsome variants. In tournament you can recreate the Ryder Cup competition. There is a practice mode and multi-player mode for games on-line or over modem or LAN.
The game opens with a training preview with FMV clips explaining the various shot controls available. You then create a golfer. Before each match you specify conditions for play such as weather, length of round and number of opponents.
Shot control is by triple mouse click or mouse swing. The game's graphics are reasonable. Play is accompanied by a TV-type commentary by Grant Boone and Mark Lye.
