American football game that first appeared in the arcade. It features authentic teams , players and stadia. Game options include single matches, full championship and multi-player games for up to four players.
The game offers high-paced, arcade-style action rather than being a simulation. Only seven players make up each team, making for simplified gameplay. Controls for both offense and defense are straightforward. There are about 30 preset plays to choose from and there is a diagram for each one. There is also a simplified rule-book in operation. Another notable feature is the 'On Fire' mode, when players are 'powered-up'. It is possible to commit surreptitious fouls.
The game boasts good 3D graphics. Play is accompanied by a TV-style commentary, together with a good selection of sound effects.
