Sport Game from Midway Games Inc.
American football game featuring the authentic teams, players and stadia of the NFL. The game first appeared in the arcades with the title NFL Blitz 99. As in the previous games, the emphasis is on fast-paced, no-holds-barred gameplay. Only seven players make up each team, making for simplified gameplay. Controls for both offense and defense are straightforward. There are about 30 preset plays to choose from and there is a diagram for each one. There is also a simplified rule-book in operation. Another notable feature is the 'On Fire' mode, when players are 'powered-up'. It is possible to commit surreptitious fouls.
The game boasts good 3D graphics. Play is accompanied by a TV-style commentary, together with a good selection of sound effects.
