Installment in this successful series of baseball sims, featuring updated team line-ups and statistics. New stadia are also recreated in accurate detail. Notable additions include more detailed management options and a career mode that allows you to manage a team over many seasons. You can choose not to play out particular games during a season and it is possible to create your own players. Additions have been made to the in-match control options and the graphics have been improved.
A TV-style commentary featuring Thom Brennamen accompanies play. The game offers a good range of game options including quick-start single games, league season, playoffs mode and home run derby. There is also a two-player mode.
