Sport Game from EA Sports, by Black Ops Entertainment
Boxing sim featuring 50 boxing greats, including Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier. There is also a character editor. The game covers the three main weight categories; Light, Middle and Heavy. Famous venues such as Caesar's Palace and London's Wembley Arena are recreated.
Game options are Exhibition match (for one or two players), Slugfest (no rules bout) and Career mode (where you can develop a fighter through his career). You can further define the type of match you wish to fight by setting the number of rounds or taking off the auto-blocking function. In career mode you can train your fighter and improve his skills.
The game boasts excellent 3D graphics. The control system is effective and there are loads of moves to master. In-game, a meter measures the number of successful punches and when it is full you can unleash a power-punch. There is a limited commentary provided by Al Albert and Sean O'Grady.
