|
Part of this series of acclaimed baseball games, this is the first High Heat game to enjoy the Sammy Sosa endorsement. The game combines well-balanced gameplay with effective controls and graphics. It features updated rosters. Game options include Exhibition, Full Season, Playoffs and Home Run Derby. Five difficulty settings add further replayability value. The multi-player mode allows two people to compete (LAN, Net or Same PC, two on same PlayStation). The game provides many pitching and batting options and the fielding aspect has been improved. The strong battling, pitching and fielding control systems of the previous games reappear. The statistical aspect of the game has been enhanced and a player editor is included. The game boasts good AI. Relatively minor improvements have been made to the graphics, particularly in the areas of character rendering and animation. AS in the previous games in the series games are accompanied by commentary provided by Giants' announcer, Ted Robinson
