Horse-racing game. It combines management elements with racing action. The main single player game is career mode. You take control of a stable and must trade, breed and train horses and compete in the full US racing season. Success in races earns you cash, which can then be sent on new horses, as well as ranking points.
Each horse has its own characteristics in areas such as racing style, speed, stamina, sprint ability and preferred racing conditions. Statistics on past performance are included. The game also offers a two-player option for straightforward racing action.
Races have different entry requirements based on the age and sex of the horses. During races, you control the direction and whipping of the horse and the timing of the final sprint. Numerous authentic tracks and varying weather conditions are reproduced. The game's interface and graphics are effective.
