Installment in this series of best-selling soccer games. It features a greater selection of teams, whilst offering improved gameplay and updated graphics. In all, some 75 teams and 16 leagues from around the world are recreated.
Game options include training, friendly, league and custom competition. Notably, it is possible to reproduce the qualifying stages of the World Cup 2002. There is a strong multi-player mode on all platforms.
This installment features a new passing system that gives you greater freedom to move the ball around. The tackling model has also been overhauled and this affects referee decisions. The graphics have been updated and the interface has been refined. Music by Gorillaz accompanies the intro screen and in-game audio has also been improved. Commentary is provided by John Motson and Andy Gray.
